SCENE

(Makayla has taken a spontaneous trip to Maryland, DC with her best friend Josh. Saturday night around 7pm, Josh and Makayla stop at a restaurant for dinner. Makayla suggested going back to the hotel to shower and change clothes before heading back out. Arriving at their hotel room, Josh put his bags down and jumps in the shower. Makayla sits on the bed and ends up falling asleep.

11pm. Makayla wakes to a text message from Josh 'Didn't want to bother you. I stepped out for a bit. Be back by morning.’)

MAKAYLA

My friend left me four hours ago for some penis. I know we've all done it but I'm bothered because my friend might have a drug problem. His words—that's what he admitted to me. This was suppose to be the weekend to have an honest conversation with my friend with no interference. Josh, my friend, said the drug of choice was crack, but I could tell by his appearance.

He said he associates sex with getting high.

See now, my mind went to Ed Buck.

Josh said white men give him drugs, and the drugs help keep his stamina up.

Ed Buck.

He said white men lurk in his safe spaces, and the white men started suddenly flying him places.

Ed Buck.

Adam for Adam, Jack'd. Older white men prey on these apps.

Ed Buck.

The younger the person, the easier they are to manipulate.

Josh was oblivious—he couldn’t tell the difference.

Josh came strolling in around seven. “Hey, what are you doing up?”

Hey Josh, have you ever heard of a man named Ed Buck?
