A Never Ending Dance
i grew tired of you
small talk makes me yawn
and pretending i mind makes my skin crawl
i know you grew tired of me too
your eyes wander when i talk
you don’t care enough to snark back
we thought we would never grow apart
best friends promise eternity to each other
a certain innocence makes you believe and promise
this is forever
i really don’t know what to do
i sigh and i whine,
can’t really lie, it hurts
but not enough
not even to pick up my phone,
pretend for a second that i care,
i do not
because i grew tired of you,
and i’m hoping you grew tired of me too.
The End to a Story That Never Was
it’s the love that could not be
hurts everytime you think of me
it’s the love we could not have
gone with the wind i vanished as if i was never there
will you remember me?
the soft touch of my hands
the desperate clinging of my lips
some parts of me wished you would forget
for the love that could not be, cuts, weeps, bleeds.
